It SNOWED last night! YAY! I absolutely LOOOOVE Utah fall & winters!

Plus I get to break out my winter eskimo coat that looks like something Little Red Riding Hood would wear.... which then made me think of Lil Red Hood and got me googling images of her... here are a couple favorites.

Excited about this Fork Fest next month, NOT excited about this poster's design! Yuck! :/ sorry.... Anyways, all you Utahn's should come and show some support - this seems like it will be fantastic!

Seriously, I can't get over how much the design of this poster drives me nuts.... I officially confess that I am a design snob...BUT A NICE ONE! [those of you who don't know me, MUST NOT take what I say seriously and taken all my criticisms with a grain of salt - really I am just being silly] I think most people don't realize how big of an impact typography can be, to the point of it turning into a make or break it kind of thing...something to think about.  I think someone should make a reality show of about fugly things [i.e. this poster] and then have designers [well known] on there redesigning the object, logo, brand etc. and then having judges etc.  Well, I can't just end this post on a sour note now can I.  Want to see a fantastic children's photographer? Also, just wondering....but when's the last time you wrote a love letter/emai?l  I was thinking about that yesterday and decided to write my b.f. [boyfriend] Jesse a love email.... it went something like this :  "Dear Jesse, I love you so much etc. etc.  also, you are one of the funniest people I know and THEE funniest guy I have ever dated!" <- true story! He is off the charts funny....and someday if he is really cool and keeps up the funny then I think I will hand write him a love letter. Someday. ah wink wink <>  Really, though <> don't wait till Valentines Day to tell the one you love how much you adore them. Even if it isn't someone you're dating or married to.  There has to be at least 5 people you love - tell them today! :)  Now how beautiful is this letter below? :)

So here is my finished painting that I donated to The Uintah Art Fundraiser that happened Thursday night at Uintah Elementary school. I ammm happy with it, BUT I realized why I was having major issues with this painting.. it was due to the scale. I haven't painted something this large in a loooooooong time! So I need to get back on top of my game I guess... :/


At the fundraiser, they were selling the students works of art... I didn't get to go to event, which I am soooo bummed about, but I did get to help set up a bit with my boss Allison, and got a sneak peak at some of the goods being sold by the kids. Check out these two AMAAAAAAAZING broaches that I got!!! I wore the left one out yesterday! AH! Seriously, so cute! One more reason why I can't wait to have kids....so I can put em to work and have them make me TONS & TONS OF LOOT!!!! WOOOO HOO!!! ;) hehehe lol j/k

+MAJOR+ EXCITING NEWS for lil Roxy Marj & forx & pancake & the rest of my friends >>> we are FINALLLLLLY getting our own apt!!! :) AHHHH... If it wasn't so late right now, I'd get on my bike and cruise around Salt Lake City!!! It has been since I was 18 years old that I have had my very own place, my very own walls! I have been waiting for this day to come for yeeeeears! Since deciding to stay here in Utah [have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE this state!?!] I can now officially start to get settled...it is such a good feeling. I have missed my things back in New York sooo much and cannot wait to back out there and bring them back here to their new home! :) I found a cute lil 1 bedroom apartment which is in the top [eaves] of a darling house just a couple blocks away from where I live now. And there is a front and back yard for me to play & explore in... yay! yay! yay!

This is Pancake...anyone remember her? She is the best lil housekeeper! I don't know what I would do without her!!! ;) I love cleaning with her....she sings THEE funniest songs....songs about snails backpacking through Austria, hitchhiking through italy & sailing across the 7 seas... don't be fooled by her size...she is one fast worker that Pancake! If you ever happen to come across another Pancake...don't let her get away, snatch her as quick as possible and give her a couple tootsie rolls, she is then indebted to you forever!
