About time, right? I think it's been over a year since I last had a giveaway. And that's all about to change. To get more traffic to my etsy shop I plan on making this a weekly occurrence. ALSO, for those of you who have posted on your blog about an item of mine. THANK YOU so much! :) I regularly check my blog and etsy stats and it shows me where traffic is coming from. It's so nice to come upon a blog and/or site that has mentioned an item of mine in some way without me even asking. And to show my thank you, I will be contacting bloggers for their home address's to send you a lil something {for the next two weeks} dto show my appreciation... today I found out about
Julia Wheeler and her blog
SandiegoSongBird through my etsy stats. Thanks for posting about me! I will be in contact. :)
Okay, now the fun part!
Up for grabs are two items for someone to win. An original 8'x10"painting I did {isn't that quote great?} and one of my new envelope clutch's in the Samson print. All you have to do is tell me what song or book you are in love with at the moment. Open to all countries, and the winner will be drawn randomly tomorrow at 5pm mountain time. :-[)
p.s. if you don't win...perhaps next week? :/ OR you could always just buy the clutch. :-[) eh eh? Also, the Mark Twain print will be up in shop in a couple days.

I'm obsessed with Brandi Carlile's "Josephine"! Such an amazing song!
great quote AND great painting! i've been loving the soundtrack from an education this week and it's hard to pick a favorite! maybe tomorrow by billy fury is pretty great though.
I'm currently digging Maroon 5's "payphone" song, only because my three-year-old nephew, Oliver, decided it's his favorite song and he can sing all the words. Basically I love it because it makes me think of him.
The Felice Brothers, Love Me Tenderly.
(the whole self titled album is SO great.)
I noticed a rad new pillow at my sister Egan's house this weekend---your mini house pillow. It looked so cute on her couch.
I love this giveaway and I love your art.
Tonight I saw Shut Up and Play the Hits featuring the LCD Soundsystems final show. So the song in my head is Time to Get Away.
Underwater by Joshua Radin. This week I went to his concert and he told a story about how when he was a child he had numerous ear infections that resulted in a hole in his ear drum. He was told that he could never go underwater. Last year when he was at the doctors they told him that the hole was gone. So he got to go fully underwater the first time as an adult and he wrote a song about it. You really must check it out!
Umm also you will love this artist:

Gosh, I'm definitely doing more giveaways just based off all the interesting info I have received from you all! I have been out of the music scene for awhile now and it's so nice to hear what you all are into. Thanks for sharing :)
I've been super into Robyn's "Call your Girlfriend" for months now...the music video is muy bueno too and makes me want to be dancing with lights around me!
I've been reading White Fang again :) remember that book from 3rd grade? It's really good though!
ROX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lately I have been listening to this song by Brandi Carlile, called: It's a Hard Way Home. Seriously amazing! This is probably my top third favorite song next to Empire Of the Sun. My husband and i jam to this song. If you listen to the song there are a lot of good 1 liners. I have caught myself singing to myself this tune, its a reminder to me that life is what you make out of it.
Helloo
I just read an amazing book: "State of Wonder" by Ann Patchett
