Since living in SLC, I havn't been to any events yet where I have gotten to get all dolled up! Well....tonight is THEE night! hahaha lol... Going to a close family friends reception up in North Salt Lake, AND this reception is all about the dancing! For those of you who really know me, you know I loooooove to dance! Anyhoo... a month before moving out west, the ladies in my old Park Slope ward at church had a clothing swap....I scored an AWESOME vintage black/dusty rose sequin butterfly top, identical to the one below!!! And I have been saving it for the perfect moment to wear it >>> tonight <<<

ATTENTION all Salt Lake City residents!!! Built To Spill is coming to Utah next month!!!! SOOOOO excited! I CANNOT WAIT to see them! Had a couple opportunities to see them back in New York but each time they came I had a major obligation to tend to...one of them being finishing my good friend Roseanna's wedding dress!!! anyways, I FINALLY get to see them!

Paul Smith is one of my very favorite womenswear AND menswear designers! But for now, my focus being on moi >>> his three collections for fall/winter 09 are so lovely and artistic.

The freelance illustration job that I am working on right now, has me playing around in the world of enchantment... can't complain there. So this morning my quest for inspiration led me to tree houses! I think I can safely say that everyone in the world would LOOOOVE their very own tree house! These tree houses are amaaaaaaazing.... just makes me even more excited to start a family someday...until then, I will just paint little tree houses! BLUE FOREST is an amazing site dedicated purely to these types of dwellings that focus on sustainable & luxury tree house design! What an awesome job!!!!

BOY SCOUTS - HOW IT WORKS

Heidi Swanson of 101 COOKBOOKS never fails to showcase amazing food, recipes, photos, food stories etc. on her site. I am on 101 Cookbook's email list and truly, it IS an email I look forward to receiving every.single.time! I think most of my attraction is due chiefly because of the photographs...I SWEAR I can smell each dish just because of the clarity and color! Anyways....enough slobber talk for one night...I gots meself a bar-b-q to attend this Sunday after church, and I signed up to bring a salad/side dish.... having a hard time over here trying to decide what to make.... all of these recipes below look soooo mouth watering good, I want to make them ALL!!!

Aside from my bed and breakfast job, I have a freelance job that I am working on as well which is pretty heavy duty ---- lots and LOTS of drawing! So in order to keep myself sane...I take mini breaks every 1/2 hour or so...to do more drawing [?] but purely for myself... here are some print/pattern developments I recently did. :)

MEGA CRUSH ALERT!!! UB has THE CUTEST Swedish Hasbeens Jodhpur Boots right now !!! Found via EVEN CLEVELAND But sadly they are $375.00 worth of cuteness!!! AHHHH WHY MUST THE GODS BE SO CRUEL!!!??? ha! enough of my crying...other cute things stocked there right now are these wonderful antler hooks, Trompe L'Oeil Wooden Milk Crates, and cute vintage inspired classic red clocks!!! BUT probably the coolest thing of all...Urban Outfitters now offers custom made bikes!!! Pretty cool! Even if it means selling bikes to people who really don't "ride" bikes but it is more for show...we know who you are!!! Still...hopefully it will get more people out of their cars and onto some wheels! After getting my bills/debt all paid off, I plan on building my own bike here soon... it will take some time & $$$ acquiring all the parts...especially since I am very picky when it comes to things like this..but the nice thing about it is that once I do have one completely built...I feel that by then, I will be really really fast and strong! <- hahahah lol..that sounds funny to say...but it is the truth! This past Sunday I was finally able to ride up to the Capitol without stopping, on my lowest gear of course! This was a huge accomplishment for me. :) One of the things though that I did realize is that a lot of it had to do with my breathing...something I need to pay more attention to...my breaths were long and deep..this helped tremendously, at least I think so?

A lot of posts for today ---- one of which I TOTALLY forgot to announce awhile back, is that one of my MOST FAVORITE BANDS EVER Shout Out Louds have been in studio working on recording their 3rd album!!! I cannot describe to you the feelings of joy I get when thinking about that!!! My most favorite concert/show I have ever been to was their's back in 07 at Bowery Ballroom in NYC! The sound, energy, flow etc. EVERYTHING was amazing! I CANNOT wait to see them again!
