Saw this cutting board over at Design Sponge which can be purchased at Fine Little Shop >>> how fantastic are these leggings. I would pair these with my moccasins and Jesse's oxford shirt. :)

The leggings and this fine print can also be found at Fine Little Shop  reminds me a lot of  Ansel Adams  and my brothers. I have 4.  Would make a great birthday gift for either of them.

Saw this wall paper
in my issue of House Beautiful this month.
LOVE IT!

and lastly: paper horse and rabbit. If I knew sculpture, I would try and make enlarged versions of these in cement for my back yard and garden. Found via Small Happy Crane  These would also make for
a fantastic children's mobile. no? :)

Today we got an awesome blizzard!
I got to leave work early
This called for a celebration
+ Bake up some chocolate chip cookies +
::::::: using a Nestle Toll House recipe...with a few tricks* up my sleeve :::::::::::

It was so cold I could see my breath.....
I have been using this recipe for 8+ years....has yet to fail me. :)
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tspn baking soda
1 tspn salt
2 sticks of ROOM TEMP. BUTTER
3/4 cup of BROWN & WHITE sugar
1 tspn vanilla
2 eggs
chocolate chips [jumbo preffered]
walnuts

----------------------------------

my *secret trick:
make sure the butter is soft but firm...
mix EVERYTHING but flour together. mix it good. mix it for more than 4 min. SERIOUSLY!
then add the flour in slooooooooowly...but add 1/4 MORE after the 2 1/4
hand mix in chocolate chips & walnuts
then dollop the cookie dough on to sheets with spoons..do not form with hands
bake at 375 degrees for 8 min! 1 min before taking out, sprinkle some SEA SALT on top of
the cookies. voila! You now have the one of thee best chocolate chip cookies EVER!!!!!!

p.s. this is what I was listening to over and over while baking tonight...

My friend Juidiith Clawson showed me the latest cover of Pier 1 Imports catalog last week! Such a great cover, no?  Juidiith was saying how this would make a great Halloween costume, I couldn't agree more.

I love drawing foxes. period. nuff said.

But I also like paper mache foxes!  I made this "Fantastic Mr. Fox" last year in commemoration of Fantastic Mr. Fox coming out and for my first dinner party I threw out here in Utah.

I was so in love with how he turned out that I decided I needed to make a mantel for him to hang above.  So I made a paper-mache fire place mantel as well.  One of my favorite craft projects thus far!

Gosh I LOVE fall and nature! That wreath above the mantel was easily made
from twigs just tied together and simply hung. Then I took my red maple leaves that I had collected and dried days prior and glue-guned a tiny drop of glue on the twigs and stuck the leaves on.  So simple and delicate.  It was great for last years fall...

Ta Da! Thee finished product.   Click HERE  to see the original post on my MAN blog MEN FOLK

This was in the apt I was living previously before the one I am in now. :) I just realized my new place doesn't have a fireplace..... :(

One of my very favorite poets is Emily Dickinson. I could get lost in her poems all day & every day! I have made a pretty little design to go around this special poem of hers, and if you click on it, it will be large enough for you to print out and hang up if you like.

Currently on exhibit right now, and not running for not very much longer is Emily Dickinson's Garden at the New York Botanical Garden!!! If you live in or close to NYC, YOU SHOULD GO! I would loooove to go to this show just because the NYBG is that gorgeous! I went to the orchids show there a couple years ago and was blown away, sadly I don't think I had my camera with me that day. :(

Sneak peak of what you will see at the New York Botanical Garden... Seeing this photo, makes me want to start pressing flowers again...

Emily's house that she grew up in...

Was recently introduced to this artist Judy Kaufmann. I love these three paintings of hers, this style reminds me a lot of one of my favorite artists William Kentridge.
